What e-waste removal involves

Electronic waste is regulated separately from ordinary rubbish in California, and for good reason. Old CRT televisions and monitors contain leaded glass, screens contain mercury lamps, and circuit boards carry heavy metals. All of it is prohibited from landfill disposal under the state Electronic Waste Recycling Act.

That is why your kerbside service will not take a TV, and why so many end up sitting in the Bay Area garages for years. Ours is the alternative: we collect the item from wherever it is in the property and deliver it to a certified electronics recycler.

Old CRT televisions are the most common single item we collect — heavy, bulky, worthless and impossible to dispose of any other way.

How it works

  1. 1

    Tell us what you have

A single TV or a server room. Call 877-536-7941 for a Bay Area quote either way.

  2. 2

    Collected from anywhere

Basements, upper floors, back offices. CRT televisions in particular are far heavier than they look.

  3. 3

    Data handled properly

Where you need it, we arrange certified data destruction with documentation for your compliance file.

  4. 4

    Certified recycling

Everything goes to a certified electronics recycler rather than to landfill, as California law requires.

What our customers say

Called at 9am about a sleeper sofa stuck in a third-floor walk-up and they had it out by 2pm. No damage to the stairwell, no drama, and the price was exactly what was quoted on the phone.
Marisol R. · San Francisco, CA
Eleven years of CRT monitors and dead PCs out of the back room, with destruction certificates for the drives. Exactly what our auditor wanted to see.
Marcus O. · Santa Clara, CA
Storage unit I had been paying for since 2019. One phone call, they met me there, and it was empty and swept in under three hours. Should have done it years ago.

Frequently asked questions

How much does e-waste removal cost in the Bay Area?
Small electronics are usually folded into a general load at no meaningful extra cost. Screens are priced individually, with large CRT and rear-projection televisions higher than flat panels because of their weight and the cost of processing leaded glass. Tell us how many screens and roughly what type when you call 877-536-7941.
Why can I not just throw away my old TV?
California's Electronic Waste Recycling Act prohibits it. CRT screens contain several pounds of leaded glass, flat panels contain mercury lamps, and circuit boards carry heavy metals. Disposal facilities will reject them and kerbside services will not collect them.
Do you handle business IT decommissioning?
Yes. Office moves, refresh cycles and closures across the Bay Area are a regular part of our work — desktops, monitors, servers, copiers, phone systems and networking gear, collected outside business hours where needed.
What about the data on the drives?
We can arrange certified data destruction with documentation. If you have a compliance obligation, tell us when you book so the chain of custody is set up correctly from the start rather than reconstructed afterwards.
Do you take batteries?
Small consumer and UPS batteries, yes, on the same collection. Large industrial batteries and anything leaking need specialist handling and we will refer you rather than take them.
Can you collect from an upper floor or a basement?
Yes, at no extra charge. Old CRT televisions can run past 150 pounds, and in the Bay Area this is the hardest city in the region to work — permit parking, one-way streets, 20% grades in Bernal and Noe, and stair-only access to most upper flats — that is exactly the situation we are equipped for.
